Individual Therapy

I provide individual psychotherapy for adults looking for support across a range of areas. There is no one “right” reason or time to seek psychotherapy, although often people reach out for support when some part of life is feeling dissatisfying. My goal is to create a safe and curious space to help better understand yourself, and to alleviate psychological barriers which might be getting in the way of relief and joy.

My Process

I respect the courage it takes to show up and discuss vulnerable parts of yourself. Given the deeply personal nature of therapy, I believe that a warm, empathic and genuine relationship is an essential base for effective therapy. My style is relational, interactive and warm. I base my work on a thorough understanding of a person’s background and take into account each individual’s strengths and preferences.

My process begins by discussing the main concerns that bring you into therapy, and then I collaborate with you to develop hopes and goals for your therapy. I recognize that goals can shift over time, and I maintain open communication about the direction of our work together.

I am an integrated psychologist, which means that I use a range of theoretical orientations and clinical techniques to tailor my approach to each person’s unique concerns. My clinical decision-making is deliberate and thoughtful, and based on sound evidence for approaches shown to be effective for psychological healing.

I am trained in and use the following clinical orientations:

  • Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Emotion Focused Therapy

  • Mindfulness

  • Trauma-informed therapy (Eg. attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Processing Therapy)

  • Exposure and Response Prevention and Inference-Based CBT
